OUR PRACTITIONERS TREAT HOLISTICALLY.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ?
In conventional medicine, your GP or hospital doctor uses their scientific training to diagnose disease and treat the symptoms using medical drugs or surgery.
However, in Complementary Medicine we treat the whole person, going to the root cause of the disease to bring about healing changes within the body. We find that most disease is stress-related or has an emotional basis. Simply cutting out diseased tissue or suppressing symptoms with drugs is not the answer.
Holistic treatment deals with the root of the problem so that the symptoms no longer need to be there and the patient experiences an overall increase in feelings of wellbeing.

THE ORIGINS OF HOLISTIC TREATMENT
Holistic therapy is NOT a new idea. It's origins go back over 3000 years to Chinese medicine where acupuncturists understood that energy flows around the body along well-defined pathways and meridians. By making subtle changes to this energy flow, they were and are able to affect the way we feel, how we react to aches and pains and also bring about many other beneficial changes.
The ancient Chinese also taught the world the 3000 year-old tradition of Tai Chi - a gentle and rhythmic sequence of body movement and mental relaxation- that allows those who practise it to achieve a better balance of body and mind throughout the whole day. It is one of the oldest recognised holistic practices and demonstrates perfectly the relationship between body and mind.
Holistic medicine has developed many newer techniques and skills during the 20th Century. Qualified and trained practitioners from Complementary Therapy in Yorkshire can offer a whole range of therapies to help you towards a healthier life.
This is how we work.
This is why you should choose Complementary Therapy.
